Jacqueline (Jackie) Donna Leach

August 2^nd, 1963 – January 21^st, 2025

We sadly announce the passing of our dearest mother, sister, auntie, partner, and friend who left us after a courageous but short battle with cancer. Jackie was born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan where she worked for the Catholic School Division for over three decades, retiring in the fall of 2023.

Jackie enjoyed many hours outdoors living on the farm, in the flower garden, picking raspberries with family and friends, making jams and jellies, enjoying the birds and animals, and every possible sunrise and sunset. Her favourite place in the world was the family cabin at Emma Lake. She loved spending as many of her summer days as she could at the lake fishing, going for walks, sitting by the fire, having weiner roasts, going to garage sales, watching sunsets, and of course, lying in the sun working on her famous tan. She had a special group of friends up at the lake who she loved like family and made many amazing memories with.

Anyone who spent time with Jackie knows she was a truly special person. She always went out of her way to help those around her and never focused on herself. She loved spending time with family and friends, doing whatever she could to make them laugh. Jackie lived a fun filled life and she shared her love of having fun with everyone she knew.

We would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Victoria Hospital on the 5^th floor. We would also like to thank everyone who supported and comforted Jackie during her time there.

Jackie is survived by her partner Claude Eckhoff, her sons Gerald (Danielle) Lundy and Ryan Lundy; her brothers and sisters, Sheila (Tom) Gallerneault, Patrick (Audrey) Leach, Judy Postle, Karen Kyryluk, Wilma (Dennis) McDonald, Tim Leach, Andrea (Greg) Philipchuk, and Jeff Leach; numerous nieces and nephews and their families, and her faithful companion Scrubbed-Up, her cat that followed her everywhere.

Jackie is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Anna Leach, her brother Bill Leach, and her brother-in-laws Ervin Kyryluk, and Rick Postle.

There will be no formal funeral service held as requested by Jackie.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 2nd at 12:30pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 159 Hall in Christopher Lake Village.
