Isabella Theodora Henry (nee: Weber) was born on January 30, 1926 at Bateman, SK, to Elizabeth & Peter Weber. Isabella passed away on March 25, 2016 in the Parkland Integrated Health Centre in Shellbrook, Sask., at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn: her daughter Ellen-Jean (Dale) Johnson of Calgary, AB.; her son Barry (Rhonda) Henry of Salmon Arm, B.C.; her grandchildren, Shawn (Chelsea) Henry of Okatoks, AB.; Danielle Henry of Prince Albert, SK.; Matthew (Chelsey) Henry of Salmon Arm, B.C.; Jenna Henry of Prince Albert, SK.; and Angel Henry of Salmon Arm, B.C.; her brother, Earl (Ellen) Weber of Penticton, B.C.; her sister, Mary Christianson of Saskatoon, SK; her 6 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. Isabella was predeceased by her husband Robert Henry who passed away on February 27, 2008; and her parents Peter and Elizabeth (nee: Ritter) Webber.
Isabella married Robert Henry on December 4, 1948, and lived most of their married life on the farm in Foxdale, SK. She was an active member in the community, including being a general and project leader in the 4-H Club for many years. Isabella played and enjoyed watching ball and in the winter months curling. After Robert’s death, Isabella moved into the Homestead Place suites in Shellbrook where she enjoyed being involved in Whist and Kaiser card games. She setup, and was president of the Homestead Pioneer’s Kaiser Club who helped raise money for the new Integrated Health Centre. Isabella was a member of the Shellbrook Legion for many years as well.
It was Isabella’s wishes that no funeral service be held. Her cremains will be placed beside her husband’s in the Veteran’s section in the Shellbrook Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends wishing to send private online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com
