Iris Lynn Mitchell (nee Njaa), late of Birch Hills, SK passed away on October 19^th, 2021, at the age of 70 years.  Iris was born in Prince Albert, SK on May 23, 1951. She grew up and attended grade school in Birch Hills, SK.  Iris then moved on to attend Secretary School in Saskatoon, SK.  This is where she met and married Allan Mitchell in 1971.  They moved back to the Birch Hills district and started farming in 1972.  Iris enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, golfing, and visiting with friends.  She will forever be remembered for her amazing laugh that could light up a room.  Iris is survived by her sons Brad (Laura) Mitchell and Brian (Amy) Mitchell; her grandchildren Mallie & Jaycee Mitchell and Katy & Tyce Mitchell; her sister-in-law Lana Njaa; her siblings-in-law Alice (Dennis) Paddock, Ann (Les) George, Aaron (Jan) Mitchell, & Alvin Mitchell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Iris was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Allan Mitchell; her daughter Sheri Lynn Mitchell; her parents Kenneth (Malfrid) Njaa; her brother Larry Njaa; her nephew Todd Mitchell; parents-in-law Hanley (Alfhild) Mitchell.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Iris to Palliative Care Department Level 5, c/o Victoria Hospital Foundation, PO Box 3000 STN Main, Prince Albert, SK S6V 5T4, (306) 765-6105.  The family will be holding a private service.
