On September 9, 2016, Irene Bruce, 81, of Prince Albert passed away with her family by her side. Irene was born January 25, 1935 in Meadow Lake, SK to parents Frank and Mary. She is survived by her two children Scott Bruce and Cindy (Tim) Oleksyn, and grandchildren Tara Bruce (Jim Lessard), Melissa Bruce (Steve McCall), Megan (Greg) Madden, and Andrea Oleksyn (Korey Diehl). She is also survived by her two sisters Ethel (Don) Anderson and Shirley Timpson, her brother Gordon (Caroline) Timpson, and her nieces Ronna, Cheryl, Erin, and nephew Kelly. During her life, Irene was a Realtor who loved to golf, fish, and bet with her son-in-law Tim when the river ice would go out each year. She also loved to combine her career and love of fishing by organizing the annual office fishing trip, taking special care in planning the meals. A Come-and-Go Memorial Reception will be held from 1 to 3 pm, Tuesday, September 13, at the Prince Albert Exhibition Pioneer Log Cabin. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene’s memory may be made to the United Way or to the non-profit of your choice.
