Ilene Alice “Eileen” Schwan (nee Hoknes)

May 3, 1931- December 6, 2016

Eileen and Frank were married April 9, 1949 and enjoyed a happy marriage until Franks passing May 12, 2004.

Eileen is survived by her children Mickey (Elaine), Susan DeLaronde, Craig (Cathy), Darcy (Tami) and Tracy LaRocque (Bob Duret); her grandchildren Russell (LeeAnn) Walker, Ashley (Joey) Holbird, Cory (Megan) Schwan, Amy (Dallas) Wilm, Ryan (Elysse) DeLaronde, Devin DeLaronde, Shane (Lauren) DeLaronde, Lisa (Jason) LaRocque and eighteen great grandchildren; her siblings Robert (Tracy) Hoknes, Vern (Linda) Hoknes, Linda Hoknes, and Harvey Hoknes.  She was predeceased by her husband Frank (2004), daughter and son-in-law Sandra (2008) and George Walker (2003), grandson Chris Walker (2016), sons-in-law Raymond DeLaronde (2001), and Michael LaRocque (2007), parents Sophia (nee Gunderson) and Alfred Hoknes, siblings Kenneth Hoknes, Floyd Hoknes, Leona Hoknes and Caroline (Signe) Borsheim.

Eileen worked at various retail stores including the CB Store and The Bay. In earlier years Frank and Eileen enjoyed visiting and playing cards with family and later playing Bingo. They had lived at Carment Court since 1990 and made some very good friends. Mama will be missed by many as she was never judgmental and let people be themselves. She always went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome.
