October 19, 1926 – July 28, 2016
Our mom peacefully passed away on July 28, 2016 at the age of 86 at Mont St. Joseph Home after a brief illness. She is lovingly remembered by her 5 children: Fred (Belinda – friend) (Lori – mother of Fred’s children) Pask; Cecilia (Fred) Despins; Debbie Morgan; Joanne (Miles) Sepos; Dave (Judy) Pask. She was also blessed and will be dearly missed by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters: Vivian (Clarence) Kurtenbach; Lucy (Peter) Wooding; 4 brothers: Ted (Mary); Bronald (Helen); Edward (Rose); Lawrence (Millie) Siwak and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Pask; her parents, Michael and Anna Siwak; sister and brother-in-law, Adella and John Leia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Olga Pask; George and Nell Trofimluk; Bill and Mary Paskaruk; Bill and Ann McLeod; her niece Bonnie Pinel and nephew Bob Paskaruk. Mom was born and grew up on the family farm in Steep Creek. She was the oldest of eight children. On September 2, 1945 mom married the love of her life, Joseph Pask, and moved to the Pask farm in the Honeymoon District where she raised 5 beautiful children. Mom was a loving mother and always had a way of lifting our spirits and encouraging us. She made many sacrifices for our family and always put our needs before her own. She was always there to listen to our problems or to give us sound advice. Mom was a wonderful cook and loved to garden. She grew a variety of beautiful flowers and planted a huge garden every spring, which meant lots of canning and pickling. She also loved to listen to music, but especially loved to dance. Mom’s faith was a very important part of her family life and she instilled those Christian values and faith in her children. She served on the CWL for many years and was very active in her parish church. The family wishes to thank all friends, family and acquaintances for their kind words, prayers and visits throughout mom’s time of illness. We would especially like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Mont St. Joseph Home for the great care they extended to mom during her stay at the home, especially during her final days.
