Helen Lorraine Newman (nee Lindsay), age 67, passed away at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon on Monday, March 28, 2011 and all her family was by her side. She was born on January 1st, 1944 in Weirdale, SK. She grew up on the family farm north of Weirdale and lived near Weirdale all her life. Helen loved her cats and dogs, enjoyed watching wildlife, whether it was in a field or in her front yard. Helen is survived by her loving family: her husband Bruce, her three children Tracy (Randy) Balan of Gimli, MB, Howard of Grande Prairie, AB and Lindsay of Calgary, AB; her four grandchildren Mark and Jessica Newman, Rebecca and Taylor (Ryan Litwin) Balan. Helen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all the people whose lives she touched. Mom will be remembered for always giving of herself and especially putting her family first. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1st from the Garden of Devotion, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Reverend Nora Vedress will officiate.
