Helen Nelson
April 4, 1937 – November 20, 2012

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of Helen, which occurred on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Helen was 75 years old. Helen leaves to mourn her passing, her three children Debbie (Glen) Parry, Barry (Karen) and Dianne (Calvin) Veeder; grandchildren Tamara (Patrick), Crystal Parry, Jaret (Celine), Heather (Dustin), Lindsay (Jason) and Jeff (Natasha); great grandchildren Ivy and Abby, Quinn, Beaudry, Clay and Tenley. She is also survived by her brothers Raymond (Irene) Burkell, Don Burkell; sister Joan (Bob) Springall of Campbell River, BC; sisters-in-law Adeline Strube, Viola Miller, Doreen Duffield, Irene Nyberg and Margaret (Richard) Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Edward Nelson and her parents Raymond and Annie Burkell. A Celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Val Bodnaryk. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, anyone wishing to make donations can be made to the COPD Foundation Head Office, 3047 Old Sambro Rd, Williamswood, NS, B3V 1E6 .
