1915 – 2013

We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother Helen Goota age 97, who passed away peacefully on July 31, 2013 in the presence of her family. Helen is survived by her sons Ron (Vesper), Roger; daughter in law Anna; grandchildren Jamie, Tracey, Curtis, and Joanne, great grandson Ryan; sisters- in- law Pearl and Sophie; brother Peter (Sophie) Zelenski. Helen was predeceased by her husband Michael; son Jerry; grandson Greg; her parents Leon and Anastasia Zelenski; brothers George (Liz), Fred (Elsie), Harry (Anne), Mike and Walter, sisters Dolly (Fred) Oranchuk and Mary (Stanley) Rybka. Our mother will be remembered for her joyous approach to Life, her vibrant personality, love of people and her unfailing devotion to her family. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on August 6, 2013, at St. Georges Ukrainian Catholic Church, 770 – 14st West, Prince Albert, SK., with Deacon Harold Salahub officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made in Helen’s memory to the Herb Basset Home, 1200- 24th St West, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 4N9. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
