Hector Brunet

Mr. Hector Antoine Brunet, age 93, of the Good Shepherd Villa of Prince Albert, SK, and formerly of Debden, SK passed away at the Villa on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Prayer service will be held in Debden on Tuesday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m. from St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Debden on Wednesday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church by Fr. Millan Sajonas. Hector is survived by his loving family, his three sisters-in-law: Tony Houle, Vivian (Leo) Brunet, and Betty (Henry) Monsebroten; nieces and nephews Carol McGarvey, Judy Weatherby, Gail Mazurak, Randy Brunet, and Gary Brunet as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Irene (nee Houle); his parents Urgel and Laura (nee Lord) Brunet; his two brothers Leo Brunet and Urgel Brunet; his sister Irene Brunet, one nephew Ron Brunet; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Martin and Germaine Tessier. Hector was born on December 3, 1916 in Big River, SK and resided in Debden until moving to Prince Albert in 2008. Hector was very involved in the community of Debden, from being Mayor for many years and a local business owner, he was a Coroner for several years and local benefactor to those in need. He was also very proud to be involved in the Knights of Columbus for well over 50 years, and had obtained the level of 4th Degree Knight. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
