It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend on September 17, 2015. Heather Denise (Guy) Sadowski was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan on Jan. 19, 1959 and passed away after a courageous yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband Daniel, daughters Hannah (Cody), Monica, Rebecca and Alaina, her parents Harold and Lillian Guy from Prince Albert, Sk., her brother Byron (Heather) and sister Andrea (Darcy) Kohut. She was also blessed with numerous aunties and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews along with her favorite young ones- London and Maclaren Kohut and Olivia, Eve and Esme Kobelsky with whom she loved to play games and go swimming.
Heather graduated in nursing from the University of Saskatchewan in 1981 and loved working as a community health nurse in Saskatoon and Calgary. Edmonton has been home for over 23 years with many of those years involved with church and school volunteering. Heather’s life was characterized by her unshakable faith in Jesus Christ. She loved travelling, visiting with friends and hosting large gatherings. Cremation has taken place with internment at a later time. A celebration of Heather’s life will take place at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church (10603 Ellerslie Rd SW Edmonton) at 12:00 p.m on Wednesday Sept 23. In lieu of flowers, donations to Brightwood Ranch Camp (Hope Mission- http://hopemission.com/donate) or to the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (cdhf.ca/en/donate) would be welcomed.
