Heather Joy Bella Custer “Akathaćo” was born on August 12, 1977, in Pelican Narrows, SK, and passed away on February 21, 2022, in Deschambault Lake, SK, at the age of 44 years.

Heather is survived by her loving family, her children, Dawson, Alyssa, Terrilynn, Sherri, Angelique, Natasha, Nikita; her step-sons, Joshua, Charles, Brian C.; her mother, Elizabeth Marlene Merasty; her siblings, John (Harolda), Lynn, Beatrice; her step-brother, Dallas Custer; her step-sister, Thelma Ratt; her sister-in-law, Jean (Peter) McKenzie; her brothers-in-law, Ron Ballantyne, John C.; her aunties, Ida (Edward) Swan, Nancy (George) McLeod, Caroline Merasty, Margaret Merasty, Alice Merasty, Doris Sewap, Claudia (Gilbert) Ballantyne; her uncles, Jonah (Stella), Nelson (Crystal), Stanley (Lisa); 32 nieces and nephews, 26 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Albert Custer; her brother, Jamie Merasty; her grandparents, Angus & Angelique Merasty, Phillip Ratt; her uncles, Percy Merasty, William Merasty, Archie Ratt; her aunt, Vivian Ratt; her nephews & nieces, Zack, Zaryy, Richard Brass Jr., Infant Merasty, Jesse-Joe-Arizona; her great-grandparents, Philip Ratt, Mary Ballantyne, David Merasty, Jean McKenzie, Albert Ballantyne; her in-laws, Joe Custer, Rachel.

The Prayer Service for Heather will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Rev. Richard Custer officiating. The Wake Services will be held the evening of Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the residence of Dawson Custer, and continued on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at St. Peter Anglican Church, in Deschambault Lake, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at St. Peter Anglican Church, in Deschambault Lake, SK, with Rev. Richard Custer and Elaine Bear officiating.
