Hazel passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 12, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital, in Ile a la Crosse, SK. She was born on March 6, 1927 to Robert and Flora Wood. Hazel resided in Buffalo Narrows where she had many close family and friends. Hazel will be lovingly cherished and remembered by:her husband Ernest MacDonald; her children and grandchildren Brian (Shelly) MacDonald – Jeremy, Jayda (Keith Favel) & Lyndon, Grace (Pat Cardinal) MacDonald – Josh, Slim (Michelle) MacDonald – Jasmine, Tiarra, Kyle, Emma & Caden, Judy MacDonald – Dale (Stacie Treppel) Alexandra & Van, Ronnie MacDonald – Peter, Karry, Jonathan & Brelanda, Jeannette (Robert McCallum) MacDonald – Shawna, Daniel & Shaleen, Jimmy MacDonald – Dana and Therese (Alvin) Chartier – Lana (Tyler) Moffat, Timothy & Randy; her great grandchildren Ethan, Allie, Lexi, Regan, Phoenix, Jonah, Aries, Kaytryn, Audrey, Jayden, Kaleb, Zoe, Shay and Taleah; her faithful companions and livelihood Cuddles and Trixie; her special daughters-in-law Lorraine Kenny and Fanny Naytowhow; her special son-in-law Lyle (Cyndie) Howat – Dustin, Rebecca and Marissa; her special nieces Kathy Galay and Rita Fisher; her special nurse Pearl Seright-Gardiner; her sisters Janie Reigert, Sadie (Jerry) Streng, Jessie Laprise, Gloria (Isadore) Desjarlais and Flora Shatilla; her brothers Jimmy (Marion) Seright, David (Eileen) Seright, Gordon (Denise) Seright and Charlie (Bernice) Seright her sister-in-law Ernestine Clarke; her special friends Ken and Mildred Howat, Alice Sernes, Kathleen Roberts, Lloyd and Florence Etchyson, Lynn Fontaine and numerous others; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Hazel was predeceased by:her parents Flora and Sam Seright and Bob Woods; her in-laws Judith Janvier and Pierre MacDonald; her grandson Nathan Shalkowsky; her sister Mabel Goertzen; her brothers Charlie and Tom Woods; her brothers-in-law Sigfred Reigert and Johnny Laprise; her nieces Carla Hodgson and Denise Laprise and many other friends and relatives. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Buffalo Narrows SK with Father Rolheiser celebrating. Interment will be held at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to theLung Association of Saskatchewan, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director.
