Hervé Calixte Brassard
April 26, 1958 – December 15, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Hervé Brassard at the Victoria Union Hospital with family by his side. Born April 26, 1958, to Aimé and Florence (Lavoie) Brassard in Prince Albert, SK. Hervé had three siblings and the family grew up in the small community of Albertville, SK. They all worked together, supporting each other in a traditional farming family. While attending high school in Meath Park, Hervé sought a career in the army. Following in his father’s footsteps, he enlisted in the Militia. He soon realized that his love of farming drew him back home. Besides farming with his family, Hervé began employment with the Ministries of Highways. From an equipment operator to supervisor, Hervé demonstrated his conviction and passion to this career path. He had just recently retired after 46 years of service. Besides his family, he valued the friendships he made throughout his lifetime. He was fun loving, quick witted, caring and always there with a helping hand. He loved to socialize and would show up with an extra Timmy’s coffee. He was a boy at heart, never wanting to grow up. At 39, Hervé met the love of his life, Rosemary (Montour). They got engaged after a short time and ran off to Las Vegas to get married. They settled on the family homestead, where they raised their two sons, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 24 years, Rose; his children, Zachary and McKenzie: his siblings, Raymond (Johanne), Norman (Marlene), and Lauriane (Karl) as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Aimé and Florence Brassard
The family would like to thank the EMS team from Parkland Ambulance and the staff of the Victoria Union Hospital ER and ICU units for their care and compassion.
Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, December 19, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
