Harry farmed in the Steep Creek district from an early age. He was a grain, cattle, and bee farmer. He came for a weekend to the Feenstra farm in 1956 and never left. He worked hard on the farm, his wife Linda alongside him to provide for the family. Harry touched many children’s lives during his 36 years of bus driving. He had many fond memories of driving the students to East Central School and enjoyed getting to know the children and community members.
Harry enjoyed a conversation with everyone he met whether it be a family member, neighbor, stranger, or a fellow amateur radio member from anywhere around the world. He also enjoyed his fellowship with the Prince Albert Lions club members where he devoted many hours of service volunteering within the Prince Albert community. He volunteered with other various organizations as well throughout the years.
Harry was a kind-hearted soul that worked hard for the majority of his life. He always had a smile on his face that would lift anyone’s spirit. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He created deep bonds with his family and his memories will live on within all of those he loved.
The family would like to thank all the medical staff involved in his exceptional and compassionate care. Thank you to Gray’s Funeral Chapel for their guidance and understanding during this difficult time.
A Graveside Service will be held for Harry at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Steep Creek Cemetery. Following the service, there will be a luncheon at the Enequist Family home.
