It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harry Delesoy, who passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, at the Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 78, with his daughters by his side.
Harry was born January 1, 1948, in Roblin. MB. He moved to Regina with his family in his younger years, where he met the love of his life and neighbour, Charmaine (1955-2023). They were married in 1974 and were blessed with two daughters, Eva and Nicole. Eventually, they settled in Prince Albert, SK where they raised their family.
Family meant everything to Harry. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren and cherished every accomplishment, big or small. He loved spending time with his family and working in the garden (especially his hydrangeas). The summer months were especially meaningful to him, giving him time to enjoy his favourite pastimes, and make memories with the people he loved.
He was a loving, kind-hearted, and stubborn man with an amazing sense of humour. He had a way of making friends wherever he went, and always made sure those around him felt welcome.
Harry is survived by his daughters, Eva (Logan) Gansauge, children, David Delesoy, Drew Altstadt, Madilyn Gansauge, and Jack Gansauge; and, Nicole Delesoy (Jordi Braham), children Austin Delesoy-Busch (Johanna Dyck), Ashly Busch; his siblings, Eva, Doreen, Bob, William, and Margaret; as well as many special nephews and nieces, and his beloved dog, Cash.
He is predeceased by his wife, Charmaine; his mother and stepfather, Mary and George Antosh; his father, Peter Delesoy; and his brother, George Antosh.
Harry will also be remembered by his special friends and neighbours, who became an important part of his life and brought him many years of friendship, laughter, and memories. Harry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those that had the privilege of knowing him. His humour, kindness, and love for his family will remain in their hearts forever.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre and Prince Albert Home Care. An extra special thank you to Dr. Surkan and the amazing team of people that cared for and treated Harry like family for the last weeks of his life.
Those wishing to make a donation in Harry’s memory in lieu of other tributes, may do so to the Rose Garden Hospice, with proceeds going to the hospice operations.
In the same manner as his wife Charmaine, Harry chose that his family and friends celebrate his life through his open door, instead of a formal service.
“You are the rose of my heart
You are the love of my life
A flower not fading not falling apart
If you are tired, rest your head on my arm
Rose of my heart”
