STREETON, Harold Ernest

Harold passed away on Monday, September 2 at Watrous Hospital. Harold was born at Plunkett, Saskatchewan, the youngest of four children born to Walter and Martha (Elve) Streeton. He grew up on the family farm and in 1951 married Mona Abrahamson from Leslie, Saskatchewan who had come to Plunkett to teach at Eltham School. They had four children, Donna, Gwen, Lois and Bill. Harold and Mona were active in their community and enjoyed square dancing and curling. Harold operated his family farm and drove school bus. They retired to Plunkett and later to Watrous where Harold continued many activities including bowling, fishing and golf. But it is music for which he will be most remembered.
