Gordon Sproull
February 5, 1933 – September 16, 2026
Dad was born February 5, 1933, and passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK.
He married Juanita on October 27th, 1955. They had two children.
Gordon worked as a travelling salesman for most of his life, and also did mechanical work, but his greatest passion was taking us as kids to rodeos and exhibition. He worked as a rodeo announcer in his spare time, announced the Prince Albert Winter Festival sled dog races, the horse show at the PA Exhibition, and the stock car races. He became a life-time member of the PA EX.
He enjoyed his acreage for many years working in his shop for family and many friends fixing their vehicles for them. He was still helping people with mechanical work in his late 80’s. Dad was a very independent person. He just never quit. He lived on his acreage north of Prince Albert until last fall when he moved to Points West Care Home. He made numerous friends and really enjoyed the staff there. He made a special friend with James, one of the staff at the home.
He was predeceased by his wife, Juanita, and son, Kevin. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Mark) Alexander, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and many close friends.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses from the 5th floor at the Victoria Hospital, and the staff of Points West. A private family service will be held at a later date.
