Gordon Don Andrews was born on October 26th, 1947, in Prince Albert Saskatchewan to Gabriel and Hazel Andrews. He had one brother Gary and a sister Marlene. As a child he had two other siblings that passed away. Gordon and Linda married at the Canwood Pentecostal Church on August 17th, 1968. They have five children, Jody, Anthony, Paul, Naomi and Heidi. They have twelve grandchildren, Thomas, Hannah, Ostyn, Taiya, Korbin, Kade, Kelsi, Jasmine, Violet, Poppy, Olive and James.

Gordie worked at many jobs in his life but retired after working for twenty-three years for the Canwood RM. He might not remember your name, but he knew where you lived! All through his years at the RM he also had a farm. Gordie, in his retirement, enjoyed wood working in his shop and had beautiful flower beds. He enjoyed the outdoors. Gordie and Linda are members of Shellbrook Pentecostal Church. They enjoyed attending Sunday services, going to bible study and he loved men’s coffee. He enjoyed visiting with people.

Gordon passed away at home on the farm surrounded by loved ones on the evening of August 22nd, 2026. He took comfort in knowing he was going to meet his heavenly father where he would feel no more pain. He looked forward to this day when he would be with Jesus and see others who went before him.

His funeral and celebration of life will be on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 @ 1:00pm at the Shellbrook Pentecostal Assembly, Shellbrook, SK, with a lunch to follow. Interment will be at the Canwood North Cemetery, Canwood, SK following lunch.

In lieu of tributes, memorial donations may be made in memory of Gordon to the Shellbrook and District Ministerial Association or Canwood Legion.
