Gladys Irene Ashdown
Gladys was born to George and Hariett Wells in Nottingham, England. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce of 68 years in 2009; her parents; three sisters and one brother. Gladys is survived by two daughters Annette (Ed) Lozinsky and Paulette (David) Babcock; one grandson Mark (Wendy) MacLeod; one granddaughter Colleen (Brent) Marshall; three great grandchildren Jordan, Alicia and Chantelle MacLeod; two nephews Terrance (Barbara) Clarke and family and Joe (Audrey) Clarke and family; special niece and nephew Louise and Ed Berger and many nieces, nephews and cousins in England and Australia. Gladys met and married Bruce, a Canadian soldier in 1940 and came to Canada as a war bride in 1945. They made their home in Melfort, Saskatoon and Prince Albert, SK. They made many trips to her homeland and enjoyed several winters in Arizona. She was an avid Blue Jays fan and made several trips to see their games. They also loved the outdoors and fishing. Memorial Service will be held at the Melfort Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA, PO Box 1832, Prince Albert, SK S6V 6J9.
