Gilbert Ernest Thomas was born August 1, 1943. He passed away in Melfort, SK on October 17, 2014 at the age of 71 years.
Gilbert is survived by his wife Lillian, children Fabian (Emily), Lori Williams, Joanne, Sheldon, Syndel, Kalli, Kevin, and Priscilla, sisters, Elizabeth Thomas, Agnes Witchekan, Bertha Poorman, Phyllis Thomas, sister-in-law Evelyn (Riley) Burns, and brothers-in-law Cecil Opoonechaw, Henry Poorman, and Ben McKay. Gilbert also leaves numerous grandchildren, chapans, nieces and nephews.
Gilbert was predeceased by his parents William and Mary Thomas, daughter Pearl Opoonechaw (Thomas), brother Mike Thomas, sisters Ernestine Almightyvoice and Mary Roy, brothers-in-law Edward Almightyvoice, Andrew Roy, and Francis Witchekan. He was also predeceased by aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
