Gerald Paul Netmaker, late of Regina, SK. formerly of Big River First Nation passed away after a lengthy battle with TB, on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK. at the age of 36 years. Gerald was born on May 12,1977 in Big River, SK.

Gerald leaves to mourn his passing; His loving companion, Corrinne, His son, Matthew, His father – Paul Netmaker, His siblings- Randy (Darlene) Netmaker, Louie (Jackie) Netmaker, Eric (Virginia) Netmaker, Pricilla (Ed) English, Melissa Crow, Beverly (Garrett) Netmaker. A special friend, Lorette Dreaver and numerous other relatives and friends. Gerald was predeceased by; his mother, Mary Netmaker, his brothers, Colin, Rodney, Bobby, Archie and Brian, His sisters, Elaine and Eunice, his grandparents; Georgina and Louie Sawhpassum, Flora and Benjamin Netmaker.

The Wake services commenced on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 9:30 p.m. in the Big River First Nation Band Hall. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Noon in the Big River First Nation Band Hall with “The Elders” officiating. The Honorary Pallbearers will be: “All of Gerald’s family and friends who shared in his life.” The Pallbearers will be : Jerry Bear Jr., Ben Netmaker, Elvis Dreaver, Donavan Netmaker, Richard Rabbitskin, Garrett Ballantyne. The interment will be in the Big River First Nation Catholic Cemetery.
