It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald LaPlante announce his sudden passing on November 10, 2025.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear.

Gerald is lovingly remembered by his wife Rosemary; children Shaye LaPlante (Jeremy Morin) and Alan (Kara) LaPlante; grandchildren Chaneil (Levi) Miller, Kaden Morin, Roan (Amanda) Morin and son Knox Morin, Rhea Morin – One arriving in Jan 2026, Damon (Rylee) Morin, Harlyn LaPlante, and Ryker LaPlante; siblings Evelyn Neufeld, Raymond (Colleen) LaPlante, Wilson (Rita) LaPlante, and Angeline Boyer; numerous nieces, nephews and extended Family.

He was predeceased by his parents Hercule and Jean (nee: Anderson) LaPlante; brother Larry LaPlante; sister Rita Arcand; brothers-in-law Andy Neufeld, Wilfred Boyer, Joe Arcand, and Alfred Unrau; sister-in-law Mary LaPlante.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday November 22, 2025, at 1:00PM at the Big River Community Hall, Big River, SK. Interment will be held at a later date.
