It is with profound sadness the family of Jerry Markling announces his passing on the evening of December 16, 2014. Jerry, age 58, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Aileen; children Melanie, Jeremy (Clarissa) and Justin (Rebecca). Jerry was predeceased by his father Joseph; his brother Robert; his niece Danielle; and his nephew Travis. Jerry made his home in Prince Albert where he met and married his wife Aileen. In recent years Jerry started his own business and found great satisfaction in this endeavour. His interests were many and varied – from scuba diving to photography, involvement in CASARA Search and Rescue, archery and performing arts (Odyssey Productions). Jerry was an avid reader, always learning and generous in sharing what he learned. He had many fond memories of all the places he travelled, especially the much anticipated winter trips to Mexico. Jerry was a fun-loving character, the life of the party. He was one of a kind, living life to the fullest. He embraced his family and friends with unconditional love, extending a welcoming and accepting hand to everyone he encountered. He will be dearly missed. The memories he leaves will be treasured in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
