George Herman Billesberger was born March 7, 1945 in Prince Albert, SK and dies February 9, 2022 in Provost, AB at the age of 76 years. He was the eldest son of Amanda and Harold Billesberger. George worked hard at different jobs including farm worker, miner and truck driver. He was especially proud of driving the ice roads in N.W.T for 10 years. George loved life and drew strength from his family. He loved woodworking and built beautiful bird houses and did all kinds of repairs to his house. Whenever anyone asked for help, George was there. George is survived by his spouse Peggy, his son Nate (Juanita), his granddaughter Navaha, his grandsons Nathaniel and Wyette, his sisters Blanch and Fran (Stan) and his brother Leo (Darlene) as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. George was predeceased by his parents and his sister Mary Emelee. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Cudworth on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Benjamin Ezekwudo as celebrant. Interment of the Urn will follow at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.
