Gary Merkowsky

Gary George Thomas Merkowsky born in Prince Albert on March 7th,1953 passed away suddenly on January 23rd,2024 at the age of 70. He will be sadly missed by his wife Nancy after 43 years of marriage. He is survived by two daughters Krista (Jay) Boulding and Erika (Derek) MacIntrye. He leaves four grandchildren, Joan and Adam Boulding, Zack and Kenza MacIntrye that he loved with all his heart. He is also survived by his siblings Gail (Blake) Cameron, Dan (Sherri) Merkowsky, Kathy Merkowsky, Donna (Bob) Maclean,and Sandy (Mark) Apshkrum and brother- in- law James Hall. His parents George and Kaye Merkowsky both predeceased him.
Gary thoroughly enjoyed his retirement. It was shared with many while golfing at the Legends Golf course in Warman and spending winters in Maricopa, Arizona.
He enjoyed a career with the Saskatoon Catholic School Board and retired from the Regina Catholic School board in 2012. During these years Gary made a positive impact and formed many lasting friendships.
Gary was blessed to have spent his final days in St. Lucia with his wife, daughters, son-in-laws and all his grandchildren. He was with the people he loved the most and left his family with wonderful memories that will be cherished forever.
His celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 17th 2024 at St Patricks Parish located at 3339 Centennial Dr in Saskatoon at 1:30pm
