Obituary of Gary Delorme
Devoted Dad and Grandpa
Gary John Delorme passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, where he called home at Pineview Terrace in Prince Albert.
Gary was born on June 11, 1949, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Lawrence and Elise Delorme. His father, Lawrence, was at one time the President of the Army & Navy and Gary was proud to follow in his footsteps and become a lifetime member which he took great pride in. Gary ran many tournaments for the organization and was always eager to help with any community events, such as Christmas for members and their children. As many know, Gary’s participation in the community went beyond that, as he started Delorme’s Moving in 1980 that lasted for 30 years.
Gary loved playing ball and being with friends, this is where he met Gail for the first time. Gary would go on to marry Gail Kennedy and together they had three sons. He was always all about his family, which meant spending countless hours with his boys at hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and helping coach baseball. Gary was a family man and his love was unwavering and deep.
Gary is survived by his three sons, Jeff (Sheena), Chris (Ashley) & Kelly Delorme; his three grandsons, Hayden, Lawson and Rhyland Delorme; his brother, John (Judy) Delorme; sisters-in-law, Linda (Henry) Mourot and Rachelle (John) Schloegel; brothers-in-law, Brent (Melody) Kennedy and Barry (Sandie) Kennedy; and his longtime friend, Marvin Davis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary is predeceased by his wife Gail; his parents, Lawrence and Elise Delorme; father and mother-in-law, Edgar and Laura Kennedy; brothers-in-law, Ivan and Earl Kennedy; and niece Laurie Ehlert.
