It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Garry Guedo on May 27, 2026, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, at the age of 79.
Garry was born in 1946 to Henry and Anna Guedo and was raised in Prince Albert. He attended St. Mary’s High School before continuing his education at the University of Saskatchewan. Garry and his wife, Ramona, shared a long and loving marriage and were devoted partners in both family life and community.
He dedicated his career to pharmacy and cared deeply about his community. Garry worked as a pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager with the Prince Albert Co-op for over 40 years, as well as with the Co-operative Health Centre, and was actively involved with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists. He served on numerous committees, was a Councillor for Division 3, and held the role of President during the 1998-1999 membership year. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Honorary Life Member Award from the College in 2014. He was known for his kindness, patience, and the care he showed to his patients and colleagues.
Garry was also committed to his community beyond his profession. He was involved with Scouts Canada, served as Club President of Toastmasters International, and volunteered as treasurer of the East End Community Club and Financial Chair of the Curling Club construction project. A dedicated curler for over 30 years, he supported many causes through fundraising, including the Heart Fund, Kidney Foundation, Diabetes Association, Cancer Society, and SPCA.
Garry will be remembered for his love of family, especially his grandchildren, his annual fishing trips with his Co-op friends, how proud he was of his pharmacy staff and coworkers, and his enjoyment of camping and walking his dogs.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ramona; his children: Quinn and his children, Jeffrey and Sylvie; Devin (Carla) and their children, Charlotte and William; Dusty (Digit) and their children, Bohdan, Alder, and Violet; and Brooke (Riley) and their children, Auden and Archer. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorma Guedo, Sadie Urban, and Linda Guedo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Anna Guedo; his brothers, Roland and Ronn Guedo; and his sisters, Doreen Lloyd and Myrtle Stenger.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pineview for their care and support in his later years.
In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Prince Albert SPCA.
