GAMELIN, Harvey Austin June 14, 1963 – May 25, 2020
On June 14th, 1962, Austin and Shirley Gamelin welcomed their 3rd child, and only son, Harvey into the world. A little brother for Bonnie and Shelley, he would later become an older brother for Shannon and Michelle.
Harvey was born and raised in Prince Albert. He attended St. Josephs’ and Boucher school.
He grew up with a great passion for hockey. He played as a goalie, being a lefty he was a perfect fit for the position. He remained a hockey fan his entire life. Boston being the team he was loyal to, no matter what Kevin and Sheldon tried to do to get him to convert.
Being raised with 4 sisters wasn’t always fun and games. Harvey would tease them relentlessly, but, would defend them always. He had a silent but unbreakable bond with each of them.
Harvey married and became a father to one child, Ryan. He always said it was the best thing he had ever done in his life. He raised him to be a kind, hardworking, loving man.
As a career he enjoyed driving truck the most, he transported everything from Pepsi to diamonds.
On May 25th, 2020, Harvey received a call; it was an offer he did not refuse. To be with his Mom and Dad, his family, and loyal friends, that he had not seen in a long time. Where love and kindness would surround him forever.
He left behind to celebrate his life and carry on without him:
His Son;
Ryan
His Sisters;
Bonnie, Shelley, Michelle, and baby sister Shannon
Brother in law, and faithful friend;
Kevin
Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and loyal friends.
A private family service was held in Edmonton, Alberta on May 31st, 2020.
In lieu of tributes and flowers. Hug the ones you love and have a laugh. Reach out to someone in need. Life is short; you don’t get a second chance.
