Full-Time Finance/HR Admin Assistant
The Prince Albert Catholic Division requires a Finance/HR Admin Assistant to join a strong team that serves six elementary schools and one high school with French immersion and English education opportunities for students.

Job Description
The Finance/HR Admin Assistant, in co-operation with other school division personnel, shall support the aims and objectives of Catholic Education generally and the Prince Albert Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 6 specifically.
The responsibilities of the Finance/HR Admin Assistant are subject to change as the needs of the school division and the requirements of the position evolve. Responsibilities will include:
- Assist Human Resources (HR) Superintendent with HR matters and HR management.
- Perform selected accounting, control, and reporting functions in co-operation with the Chief Financial Officer.
- Perform selected Payroll functions in co-operation with Payroll Clerk.
- Assist Chief Financial Officer with external audit process.
- Provide role backup function for Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Assist school division employees with Purchasing in compliance with school division Purchasing Policies and Guidelines.
- Perform selected Preventative Maintenance and Renewal database maintenance activities in co-operation with the Facilities Manager.
- Provide required reporting for Workers Compensation claims.
- Provide required reporting for insurance purposes.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Training and Experience Requirements:
The requirements of the Finance/HR Admin Assistant are subject to change as the needs of the school division and the requirements of the position evolve. Requirements include:
- Successful completion of Grade 12 or certificate from a provincially recognized technical institution or university would be an asset.
- Experience with Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable would be an asset.
- Experience with Windows computers and Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with or knowledge of HR systems. (Knowledge of PowerSchool an asset)
- Experience with accounting system software would be an asset.
- Ability to learn new skills and be a self-starter.
- Ability to work independently and possess effective organizational skills.
- Ability to manage accurate records and to document information effectively.
- Ability to work within a team environment and to interact with staff and students in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all school division matters.
- A criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check are required.
The anticipated start date is February 3, 2025 or a mutually agreed upon date.
