1951 – 2021
There will be a Memorial Service held for Fred taking place on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Shellbrook Community Hall.
Suddenly and peacefully on Friday at 6 AM, October 15, 2021, at home, Frederick Clarence Pomrenk passed away at the age of 70 years.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; his three sisters, June (Gerald) of Buick, B.C., Carol of Rocky Mountain House, AB, and Julie (Rick) of Rocky Mountain House, AB; as well as one niece and several nephews. Frederick was predeceased by his parents, Karl August March 4, 1913 – June 26, 1962; his mother Alice Louise March 23, 1922 – July 5, 2011.
Frederick was born June 1, 1951, at Lacombe, AB, the third of four children. After graduating from high school, he went on to work at various occupations including forestry, firefighter, pipeline construction, newspaper printing press, farm sales, well driller, Sask Wheat Pool elevator building, marina, and senior citizens lodge maintenance, and finally funeral home mortician. He was also very musical and technology savvy. He was also involved in various Church activities and held various positions. All Frederick’s family, relatives, and friends miss him dearly but remember his pleasant happy nature and kindness toward all. His positive approach to life, his calm nature, independence, strong faith, his ability not to worry or complain, and his unconditional acceptance and love for everyone. He loved to laugh and see others happy. He was an incredible example of how we should all live life. May he rest in peace till resurrection morning.
