Frederick Chatlain

Chatlain, Frederick Albert of Domremy, SK., passed away peacefully July 15, 2013 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, at the age of 74 years. Fred was born to Fred & Elizabeth Chatlain in Domremy, SK., on March 23, 1939. He grew up in Domremy. Fred and his twin brother Joseph, owned and operated the Deluxe Barber Shop in Prince Albert for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at their cabin at Domremy Beach, gardening, cooking, and metal and wood working. Fred was a favorite uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Joe and Fred’s home was always the stopping place for all of the family as no one ever passed by Domremy without turning in. It was always a place they could call home. Fred always had a helping hand for whomever needed it. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by his four brothers: David (Monique) of Bellevue, SK., Harvey (Kathleen) of Saskatoon, SK., William (Rose) of Prince Albert, SK., and Frank (Maryann) of Paddockwood, SK.;thirteen nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Elizabeth (Boehm), his twin brother Joseph and his niece Connie Dobransky. The Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Both Services will be held at the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Domremy with Rev. Fr. Michael Fahlman and Arch Bishop Murray Chatlain as celebrants. Interment of the Urn will follow in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Fred may be directed to a charity of personal choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK. 306-233-4403
