May 12, 1954 – December 24, 2013
Fred was raised on the family farm west of Prince Albert, north of MacDowall on the third meridian. He attended West Central School. He loved hunting squirrels and selling the hides in order to purchase Christmas presents for his family. He became a very good shot and there wasn’t a duck safe on the farm. Fred also cut poplar cord wood for Domtar in Saskatoon. Moving to town, Fred was hired at Sask Forest Products where he worked for several years. Fred loved his mother, checking on her daily. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Fred is survived by his daughter Laurie Johnson (Ryan Esopenko); his grandson Jordon Esopenko; his brothers David (Audrey), George (Kathy) and Paul (Winnie); as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents William (Bill) and Daisy Allman. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Cliff Scott officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to The Nest, 1322 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, SK.
