Fred Albert Wells
1936- 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Fred Albert Wells on Saturday February 6, 2016, due to a heart condition. Dad was born December 25, 1936 in Springdale, Newfoundland to Doyle and Miriam Wells. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Audrey, his children; Trudy (Bernie), Brian (Donna), Fred Jr., Donald (Kim), Suzanne (Dwayne), Shannon (Monica), Sharon (Krista) and Paul; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters Barb (John), Woodrow, Sheldon, Fraser (Christine), Rudy (Pat), Annie, Bob, Eugene (Mary) and Malcolm; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fred served in the PPCLI for 3 years. After leaving the army he married the love of his life Audrey Heath on October 10, 1960. Dad worked many years at the Stephenvillle and Labrador Pulp and Paper Mill. In 1977, Fred and Audrey moved their family to Prince Albert where he would work for many years at the Prince Albert Pulp and Paper Mill until his retirement in 2002. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents Doyle and Miriam, his brothers Bruce and Sidney, his sisters Evelyn and Gladelle and brother Harry in infancy. At Fred’s request there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations in Fred’s memory may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 1738 Quebec Avenue Unit 26 Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
