Frank left his home in Foxford, SK at the young age of 16 to go to Prince George, BC to be with his brother, Tony, and begin his working career. Frank travelled across Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland working in the logging industry, hydro dam developments, and road and bridge construction. While working in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1972, Frank met Vicki, a young newfie, and convinced her to come to Saskatchewan for a two week holiday. In 1974, Frank and Vicki married and made Prince Albert, SK their home. For the next 14 years, Frank worked at Cameco, Rabbit Lake uranium mine. He then decided to farm full-time alongside his brother Tony in Foxford, SK. Frank loved farming and was very proud of his land. Frank thrived on a social life. Curling, playing cards, telling stories and jokes, and solving the world’s problems on coffee row. He loved to talk on the telephone and keep in touch with family and friends. His children and grandchildren were his pride and great joy and he would make every opportunity to tell everyone of their achievements.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Egbeyemi and staff at Prince Albert Medical Clinic, the doctors and staff at Victoria Hospital for all the care and compassion they showed Frank over the years, Prince Albert Home Care, VitalAire, and the pharmacy staff at Cornerstone Shopper’s Drug Mart. His greatest accomplishment was his commitment to his family. He was always there to love and support us. In honour of Frank, donations can be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association at Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 8th St East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5, or a charity of your choice.
