Frank Carman Lund
April 28, 1945 – June 4, 2023
It is with broken hearts that the family of Frank Lund announce his sudden passing on June 4, 2023, at the age of 78 years. Born and raised by Mary (nee Neufeldt) and Gordon Earl Lund, Conservationist and Curator of Lund Wildlife Exhibit, Frank had a respect for Mother Nature during his entire lifetime. He was an ardent outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and hunting. As a loving father, his summer and winter hours with his children were also spent enjoying the outdoors, including water or cross-country skiing, fishing, snowmobiling at family cabins or camping.
Frank was a Firefighter for the City of Prince Albert from 1967 – 1992 and was recognized by his coworkers as somebody that always had their back. Frank always made an effort to attend the monthly retired firefighters coffee get together. Frank is lovingly remembered by his son, Frank Shane Lund (Saskatoon, SK); his daughter, Rhonda Lund (Nanaimo, BC); his cousins, Doreen and Don Bruce (White Rock, BC); as well as numerous friends and former coworkers. Immediate family and close friends will be having a Celebration of Frank’s Life to be announced at a later date.
A special thank you is extended from the immediate family to their close friends, Rev. John Crowdis and members of Trinity United Church, Nanaimo, for prayers given for Frank and our family during this time of sorrow. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Frank may be directed to the Firefighters Charity Fund in care of Local 510 Prince Albert Firehall, 76 – 15th Street East, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 1E8.
