It is with deep sadness we say goodbye to a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 8, 2015. On July 27, 1957 our Dad came to Canada to start a new life with our Mom. They travelled for two weeks by ship aboard The Seven Seas. Once on land they travelled through Winnipeg, MB and on to Saskatoon, SK where they called home for numerous years. Our Dad worked hard all his life – mining in Europe, building homes and numerous buildings in Saskatoon. He worked for the school board in Prince Albert, and did private construction on the side. His pride and joy were his three children – Frank, Marlene and Kathy. As of late his love for his granddaughter Peyton was unsurpassed. Always playing with her and always a smile on his face. He is survived by his wife Maria (Zver) of 58 years; his son Frank Berden (Agatha Moura), grandchildren- Jason Berden, Kira Madraga; his daughter Marlene Kraft (Iven Collins), grandchildren – Jamie Kraft, Gordon Kraft, Tammy LaRocque, Tania Diehl, and Rick Kraft; his daughter Kathy Berden (Tyler Yakubchuk), granddaughter – Peyton Maria Lyn Yakubchuk, and numerous great-grandchildren. Dad has surviving family in Slovenia, Europe – two sisters and a brother – Marta Šušter, Olga Lebar and Karči Žižek. Dad, you will forever be a part of our hearts and soul. Peace be with you. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 14 from River Park Memorial Chapel.
