It is with deep sadness that the family of Francis Joseph Babel announce his passing on November 28th, 2016 in Smeaton, SK just a few months after celebrating his 60th birthday. We were are all blessed to have him in our lives for many years – many more than predicted.

Frank was born on August 24th, 1956 to Ernest Joseph and Gwendoline Rachel Babel (nee Clark) in Prince Albert, SK. He spent his early years on the farm in Mayview until his Dad’s passing in July of 1969. He then moved with his mom to Prince Albert where he went to the Kinsmen School for 8 years after which he spent 7 years at the Kinsmen Workshop until the passing of his Mom in November of 1982. At that point he went to live with his sister, Delores and brother-in-law Robert. In 1984, they all moved to a farm close to Meath Park. In 1994, he moved with his family to Little Bear Lake where he made friends with many campers. In 2008, they moved to Smeaton, SK and he made many more friends while on his daily walks.

Frank is survived by his one sister Delores, a brother Ken (Anita) of Winnipeg, MB. Five nieces – Laurie, Karen, Donna, Danielle, and Cherilyn. Three nephews – Sam (Margie), Kevin (Bev), and Marlowe (Sharlene). Six great nieces – Chantal (Adam), Tera (Dustin), Shaelynn, Kalli, Samantha, and Jasmine. Six great nephews – Ryan (Jen), Adam (Jen), Chris (Sara), Josh, Nickolas, and Sean. Two great great nieces – Alexis and Bridget. Two great great nephews – Lucien and Seth.

Frank was predeceased by his parents Joe and Gwen, his brothers-in-law Orrin and Robert, and his nephew Fred Prince.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday Dec 5th, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.  from the Chapel of River Park Funeral Home, with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. Interment will follow in South Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of other tributes, donations be made to the Kinsmen Telemiracle or a charity of choice.
