Frances Muller (nee Kittler)
(August 29, 1922 – November 21, 2011)
In loving memory of Franceska “Frances” Muller, (nee Kittler), age 89, of Prince Albert, SK who passed away on Monday, November 21, 2011, surrounded by her family.
Frances is survived by her four daughters Frances (Cliff) Davidson, Renata Harvie, Isabela (Ron) Roberts and Corinna Muller (Sheldon Golding); her 10 grandchildren; her 16 great-grandchildren; her sister Theresa Kanthak; her sister-in-law Ann Heintenberger as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Muller; her parents Anton and Franceska (nee Schreier) Kittler; her brothers Adam (Martha) Kittler, Tony (Elizabeth) Kittler and John (Theresa) Kittler.
Frances was born in Elek, Hungary on August 29, 1922. She immigrated to Canada in 1950 with her two daughters and married John Muller in 1952. She and John raised four daughters in St. Benedict and moved to Prince Albert in 1972. Frances worked at Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home for a few years before taking employment at the Coronet Motor Hotel in 1977 and worked there until 1996, where she made many friends.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, puzzles, cards and her favorite TV programs. She loved going to the casino with her daughter Corinna. She loved cooking and shared many of her favorite European recipes with the children and grandchildren, which she will be fondly remembered for.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 25 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date in St. Benedict.
It is the family’s request that those preferring to place memorials may do so to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Frances’ memory. The family would like to say a special thank you to the nursing staff in the ICU department at the Victoria Hospital.
