With heavy hearts the family of the late Felix Alfred Mathieu are saddened to announce his sudden passing on March 7, 2019 at 64 years of age. Felix was a loving husband, father, papa, son and brother.  He was well known for his dry sense of humor and infectious laugh.  Felix was born on December 24, 1954 in Meadow Lake.  He was raised in Prince Albert and received his education here.  He was self-employed and spent many years volunteering for minor hockey and in recent years with the Metis Nation.  On February 3, 1978, he married Erna Parenteau and together they raised three children.  Felix is survived by: his wife of 41 years: Erna; his sons: Trevor (Angela), and Jeffrey; his daughter: Tanis (Steven); his pride and joys: Joey, Dakota, Madison, Ethan, Nova, Johlix, Maycee, Libby, Seth, Emmett and Emsley; his mother: Doreen Mathieu; his brother: Randy (Janice) Mathieu; his sisters: Joanne (Rob) Hoover and Sandra (Donnie) Gullickson; his brother-in-law: Wesley; his sisters-in-law: Jeanette, Marilyn (Vic), Mavis (Brian), Betty, and Kendra (Stan); and his close friends: Bev (Elaine) Vermette, Norman and Darlene McKay, and Alex Katelnikoff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by: his granddaughters: Cyanne and Miranda; his nephew: Daryl; his sister: Marlene; his brothers-in-law: Fred and Ronnie; his father: Fred Mathieu; and his in-laws: Alphonse and Flora Parenteau.  Visitation will take place on Monday, March 11, 2019, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, 300B – 300 Marquis Road West, Prince Albert.  Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the East End Hall, 2^nd Street and 10^th Avenue E, Prince Albert.  Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are invited to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.
