We are announcing with sadness the passing of Evelyn Mischuk on August 12, 2020. Evelyn was born August 7, 1935 to her proud parents Claude and Annie Ozmun. Evelyn had two sisters and five brothers. They were raised on the family farm in Choiceland.
Evelyn moved to Prince Albert to work at the Metropolitan Store as a clerk and setting up window displays.
Evelyn married Bill Mischuk on October 15, 1955. They settled in Paddockwood, SK. Together they worked on their farm, raised two children, Lorne and Shirley. As well they worked side by side managing the Cowan Dam at Big River. Their next endeavor was managing the boat house at the Narrows at Waskesiu. Evelyn worked for Woodland Enterprises as a tree climber, planter and grafter, and ended her career working for the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.
Evelyn enjoyed nature walks, fun days at the lake, gardening, curling, casino bus excursions and travelling with friends and family. Volunteer work was a very special and important part of her retirement years.
