Ethan Novotny

On April 10, 2020 we said goodbye to our amazing son, Ethan Novotny.
Ethan was born on June 1, 2002. He had a love for life and always pushed things to the limits. When he was little it was seeing how many stairs he could jump down, which turned into jumping off of the roof onto the trampoline. Then as he got older he was doing flips on the trampoline, catching crazy air with his pogo stick, and spending countless hours on his BMX bike that he loved. He also loved snowboarding and had many good memories when his Aunty would take him and the boys out to the mountains. No matter the obstacle nothing could hold him back.
Ethan loved his sister Amanda, and the two of them had a special bond with their cousins Austin and Johnny growing up. They were more like siblings. The 4 of them spent most of their time together. They got into all kinds of mischief that we knew of, and I am sure that there are plenty of stories that we have yet to hear.
He was lucky to have had amazing step sisters who treated him like he was their actual little brother. He could always count on them to have his back. Ethan also enjoyed spending time with his big brother Cody whenever he could.
Of course Ethan loved his family, but he also loved his friends. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone who was having car trouble. It didn’t matter what time, or what the road conditions were, if they needed help he would go. He was a good friend and will be missed by many. He also found new friends at his job at Prairie Rec. He thought the world of the guys he worked with there.
He leaves to mourn his parents Jamie (Keith) and Darcy (Michelle); his sister Amanda; brother Cody; stepsisters Chelsea, Tanya, and Logan; his grandmothers Gloria Gondek and Charlotte Novotny; uncles Allen (Bonnie) Novotny, Jamie (Ronie) Novotny, David (Trezley) Gondek; aunty Taja Carroll; cousins Austin (Jessica) Carroll and their daughter Esbin, Johnny Carroll, Gracie Gondek, Hailey (Colton) Novotny and their daughter Harlow, Theron Novotny, Marley Novotny, Uri Novotny, and Mila Novotny; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers Gerald Novotny and John Gondek.
Sonny Boy, you were loved more than you will ever know, and we will miss seeing your mischievous grin whenever you enter a room. You were your father’s son, and your momma’s boy. Till we meet again.
A Celebration of Ethan’s Life will be announced at a later date when it is safe to gather. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
