With heavy hearts, the family of Ethan John Reid Verbonac late of Marcelin, SK sadly announce his peaceful passing surrounded by his family on Monday, March 20, 2023, in the Parkland Integrated Health Centre.
Ethan John Reid Verbonac was born on April 8, 1997, in Saskatoon. We knew when he arrived what a truly special gift he was going to be to our family. Ethan’s journey was not always easy, but he overcame anything that life put in front of him.
Ethan lived his whole life in Marcelin. His early years were spent at Leask Community School. He later attended Blaine Lake Composite School, where he made lifelong friendships and bonds with staff and students. BLCS was one of his very favorite places.
Ethan loved his time working at Menno Industries in Waldheim. He sure enjoyed his lunch and coffee breaks with his work buddies.
Ethan received a very special award from the Saskatchewan Council for Exceptional Children for Achievement in Employment in 2014.
A very special accomplishment in Ethan’s life was graduating from high school in 2017, a day he was so proud to share with his brother Matt.
Ethan found joy in the simple things in life. His greatest enjoyment was being with his family. He was his siblings’ biggest supporter and fan in everything they did, he loved being their big brother most of all.
Ethan had the best sense of humour, and his spirit and beautiful soul brought happiness to everyone in his life.
Ethan is lovingly remembered by his parents, Roy and Krista Verbonac
His siblings, Matthew (Madison), Josh, and Madison (Lynden)
His grandparents, Kathy and Dave Verbonac, and Deb and Al Rigetti as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a Celebration of Life held for Ethan at 2:00 p.m. from the Marcelin Community Hall on Friday, March 24, 2023. The family asks that you wear an article of clothing from one of your favorite sports teams to Ethan’s service.
