Eric Gustafson

With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Eric Gustafson of Cold Lake, AB (previously of Christopher Lake, SK) would like to announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the age of 64.
Eric worked hard at everything he did and had a special love of equipment, working in or around heavy equipment most of his days. There is nothing he could not drive or fix and he had no problem proving that to anyone.
He had three loves in his life. The first he met at only 16 years old, his wife Debbie, of which he lived (in his words) a blessed life. The second was children, his children, his grandchildren, his nieces & nephews, all children. This is probably because he was a big kid himself. The third was animals, especially animals in need. If there was an animal in need it made its way home with Eric to live out its days happy, safe and loved.
Eric was a larger than life character with a big warm heart who loved his family very much and was very good at making everyone laugh. A true gentle man in a bear suit. His protective, generous, kind heart touched many. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand or a compassionate ear. He will be missed dearly.
Eric is survived by his mother: Nancy Gustafson; his wife Debbie Gustafson of 46 years; daughter: Donna (Brandon) Feltham of Cold Lake, AB; son: Chad (Annievev) Gustafson of Castlegar, BC; grandchildren: Sierra (Forrest Grimard), Stevan, Shaun and Tammi Gustafson, Tyra Rey, Mason & Amber Feltham; and Molly, his loving furbaby.
As per Eric’s request there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date
