Emilienne Denise Roy (née Blanchard) passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022 at the Shellbrook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 96 years. Emilienne leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her children: Rita (Lucien) Tessier, Albert (Peggy), Laurence (Mary Glover), Maurice (Lori), Léo (Della) and Raymond (Michelle); 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; her sister Angèle Ramsay; her sisters-in-law: Shirley Blanchard, Doris Froats (Blanchard), Theresa Blanchard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Emilienne was predeceased by her parents Emile and Jeanne (Bourdois) Blanchard; her husband André Roy; her siblings: François Blanchard, Thérèse Hood, Emile Blanchard, Irène Guigon, Françine Bourdon, Marie Martin, Joseph Blanchard, Raoul “Ron” Blanchard; and her daughter-in-law Judy Roy. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Domremy, SK on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Millan Sajonas as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Cemetery, Domremy SK. Donations in memory of Emilienne may be directed to the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Cemetery fund.
