Emilie Aubichon
1946 ~ 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Emilie Marie Juliette Aubichon (née Dansereau), at the Rose Garden Hospice, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, in Prince Albert, SK. Emilie was surrounded by her family members during the days leading up to her passing. We would like to extend deep appreciation to everyone that came to see her in the last week, to the Herb Bassett/ER/ICU staff at Victoria Hospital, to her Rose Garden Hospice family and so many that impacted her ongoing care over the past 10 years.
Emilie was predeceased by her husband, Clarence “Dennis” Aubichon; her mother, Rose Rabut; step-father, Clarence “Pete” Lafaver; father, Philip Dansereau; sister, Yvette Chicoine; and brother, August Dansereau.
She is survived by her children, Brendalee (Brian) Pellerin, Treena (Tim) Derbowka, Brent (Raven) Hodson; her grandchildren, Tony (Della) Pellerin, Carlie (Josh) Pellerin, Allyssa (Ajay) Issac, Jesse (Katie) Sanderson, Jack Sanderson, Kody and Piper Hodson; her great-grandchildren, Kaydence Pellerin, Gage Brouwer, Mia Surgenor, Benjamin Sanderson, Graysen and Reed Sanderson; her sisters, Denise Romancia, Cecile Hing, and Louise Merkowsky; brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Emilie was born in Prince Albert on October 1, 1946, at the Holy Family Hospital, and lived in Spiritwood and Doremy before moving to Prince Albert with her family. She lived in numerous other places including Calgary, Moose Jaw, Regina, and more. In the 70’s, she opened her home to children and seniors acting as a caregiver, which came naturally to Emilie. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, socializing, and dancing, to just name a few. She enjoyed working for Seniors Transportation as a driver, and as Crisis Intervention Worker for The Children’s Haven. Emilie’s health prevented her from working as long as she planned to, but this allowed her to focus on spending time with the love of her life, Dennis. Emilie lived an accomplished life in making sure those around her understood the feelings of “Live, Love, & Laugh.”
Emilie’s family would also like to thank those that ensured her final celebration met her every wish.
The Prayer Service for Emilie will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the St. Joseph Parish, in Prince Albert, SK. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
