Elsie was born in Vidora, Saskatchewan in 1924 to a farming family and moved with her parents and siblings to a farm just south of Prince Albert in the fall of 1936. Elsie went to the Maiden Lake School and finished her schooling at PACI. Elsie met our Dad George, while living on the farm as our Dad delivered eggs to her family. They were married in 1949. Dad worked with the CP Rail and our Mom stayed home for a time to raise their family. Mom worked at a variety of jobs while her children were in school, sold Avon for a time, and her last job in Prince Albert was as a secretary for the Prince Albert Co-op Store till they moved to Saskatoon in 1970. While in Saskatoon Mom worked as a secretary for Harrison & Crossfield and finished her career working for A.A. Murphy & Sons. Upon her retirement Mom again sold Avon until she was at least 80 years old. Selling Avon was her passion, as she really enjoyed visiting and having coffee with the friends she made. While Mom and Dad lived in their condo on Cree Place, they made many friends there as well. Mom is at peace now and she is finally home with her beloved husband, George, who she has missed so much and where she has longed to be for the past few years.
