Ellis William Forrester passed away peacefully at Victoria Union Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born in Elbow, Saskatchewan to Ella and Archie Forrester on July 14, 1925. Ellis grew up on the family farm in Henribourg along with his six siblings. He served in the Armed Forces for three years and remained a Veteran for the duration of his lifetime. On June 16, 1951 he married the love of his life, Lucille (Rybka), and they shared 65+ years together. During his life he resided at and developed four different homes both in Prince Albert and on the family acreage just south of the city. Ellis also took pride in and enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Emma Lake. He had many pastimes including building projects, gardening, fishing, travelling, socializing with friends and family and spoiling his dog “Benji”. While actively engaging in his favorite things, Ellis was often renowned for his “whistling while he worked or played” talent. During his lifetime he worked in the human resources and/or accounting areas at Burn’s Foods, D.N.S. and retired from the P.A. Correctional Centre in 1988. Ellis is survived by his loving wife Lucille and his three sons Glenn, Brent and Todd and their families along with his remaining sibling, Dorothy Henderson. A private immediate family interment service for Ellis will be held at a later date. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.
