ORYNIK, Elizabeth Marjorie – Elizabeth passed away peacefully on December 3, 2013 at Valley Park Lodge after an extended illness. Loving wife of Jerzy (George) for 63 years. Loving mother of Roman (Kim) of Prince Albert, SK and Anna Douglas (Rob) of Niagara Falls. Grannie to Tristan and Robyn Douglas of Niagara Falls and Jared (Jana) of Saskatoon, SK, Jennifer Eveleigh (Travis) and Adrian (Alyssa Wawro), all of Prince Albert, SK, and great-grannie to Isabelle and Andrew Orynik, Jacob and Cole Eveleigh. Elizabeth was born on May 17th, 1930 in Huddersfield, England to Edward B. and Annie Walshaw. After her mother's passing, Elizabeth was later raised by her loving stepmother Marie Walshaw. She was sister to Edward Charles Walshaw. Elizabeth married Jerzy (George) in 1950 and immigrated to Canada in 1952 eventually settling in Niagara Falls. Her kindness and compassion was evident to many whom she met and those she cared for at Greater Niagara General Hospital for many years. Elizabeth was a talented knitter who created many beautiful sweaters, mitts and toques for her children/grandchildren. She loved gardening, reading British mysteries and doing crossword puzzles. She will be missed dearly by her family and many friends. Our thanks to all of those at Valley Park Lodge and Queenston Place for their kindness and care. Cremation has taken place, with a celebration and scattering of ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated and may be made through MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 5Z7.
