Eli Robert Caribou “Rocket” was born on December 23, 1965, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on September 26, 2024, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 58 years.
Eli is survived by his children, Marla (Larry Jr.) Custer, Mario Caribou, Mitchell Bear (Taylon), Callen McDonald, Crosby Caribou, Callum Caribou; his step-children, Callie McDonald, Cale McDonald; his wife, Brenna McDonald; his grandchildren, Aven Bear, Daisy Bear, Emmy Sewap; his sisters, Veronique Merasty, Elizabeth Dorion, Eliza McDonald, Mona Caribou, Marie Rose Caribou; his brothers, Charlie Caribou, Hillard Caribou, Jody Caribou, Arnold McDonald; his godchildren, Darkietta Dorion, Denise McDonald; his special lady, Michelle Ballentyne and family, Todd, John, Milton, Margaret, Holden; his special buddy, Wapask McDonald; his special nieces, Crystal and Georgina; his special friends, Peter Merasty, Glen Bear, Burton Ray,Philip Ray Jr., Roland Bear, Gary Natewayes.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Victoria Caribou; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Caribou, Mr. & Mrs. Etienne McDonald; his brothers, David Caribou, Charles Caribou; his sisters, Judy Caribou, Therese Merasty, Fances Caribou, Bernice Morin; his godparents, Louie and Adele McDonald; his brothers-in-law, Norman Dorion, Phillip Merasty, Steve McDonald, Danny Merasty, Jacob Merasty; his nieces and nephews, Dale Merasty, Jared Merasty, Darrell Merasty, Melody, Toni, Jasmine, Rose, Melanie, Monica, Peter, Curtis, Nicoson, Cashton; his in-laws, Brian and Stella McDonald; his dogs, Bumper, Simba, Austin.
The Prayer Service for Eli will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, September 30, 2024, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. The Wake Services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Garry Morin Memorial Hall, in Sandy Bay, SK; and Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the residence of Rose Marie Caribou, in Sandy Bay, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, in Sandy Bay, SK, with Father Heinner Paucar, OMI, officiating.
